John Woodcock: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations-
  1. she,
  2. her predecessor and
  3. Ministers in her Department
have received from
  1. ATOC and
  2. train operating companies
on the practice of splitting tickets by passengers to obtain cheaper fares. [111482]

Mrs Villiers: We are considering the issue of split ticketing as part of our review of fares and ticketing. We have received commercially confidential representations from ATOC and a train operating company.

So they have received confidential representations from ATOC and a single TOC? Are they thinking of removing the ability of splitting tickets as doing so can make some journeys cheaper?
